We crossed into Canada at a lonely spot along the Top of the World Highway, crossing the Yukon river on the George Black Ferry into Dawson City, the centre for the 1898 Goldrush. We didn't stop to pan for gold, but headed south and east along the Klondike Highway stopping at Whitehorse before travelling on through the beautiful Laird valley, enjoying the natural springs at Laird and the abundant wildlife, bison, Stone sheep and black and brown bears, wandering by the roadside.
