Oregon

The trip up from Northern California into Oregon was beautiful, Mount Shasta was one of the many snow capped mountains that greeted us. Our first stop was Crater Lake, Declan's second attempt to visit was successful - beautiful views of the lake from every angle and the snow on the ground at the end of June was a reminder of how deep winter hits Oregon.
From Crater Lake we headed to the coast and drove up from Bandon - great fish and chips, through Florence to Lincoln City, stopping along the way to take in the views and Hacieta Lighthouse.
From there it was on to Mosier, to stay with friends through 4th July. Great hospitality, and a great location in view of Mount Hood and Mount Adams. Days were filled with kiting in Hood River, fishing, cherry picking, Lavender Daze, one birthday and plenty of socialising. Thank you David and Marika.
