We arrived back in Cancun, after a great trip back to the UK, ready to head for Belize and continue our trip through Central America. However, there were a few places still to seen as we headed south.

First we visited the beautiful ruins of Coba, before heading towards Tulum and staying in a jungle lodge and campsite, complete with friendly (but extremely smelly) pet boar, Pancho.

The ruins at Tulum were equally impressive, nestled on the ocean front with a beautiful backdrop of Caribbean blue waters and sandy beaches. It was hard to step away, but Bacalar Lake, a fresh water lake was equally beautiful as was the town and its fort and a great stop before crossing the border into Belize.
