We arrived into Panama City in the early hours of the morning after a 17 hour bus ride from San Jose, Costa Rica - thank goodness for early morning taxi drivers who took us to our hostel so we could crash.

After a few hours' rest, we embarked on a walking tour of the ol...

It's always good to catch up with friends and Costa Rica delivered.  While it was a flying visit - we had five whole days - we managed to catch up with Arnaud in Bahia de Salinas for some kiting.  While the wind wasn't at its best, Arnaud kindly bought some gear for De...

It was lovely to see Guillaume and Coline, friends we'd met in Guatemala, as we returned back to the van from the islands.  After an evening catching up, they headed off for a PADI course in Utlila as we headed into the Parque Nacional Pico Bonito...

We crossed the border into Honduras in the north, along the Atlantic coast and our first town, Omoa revealed the beauty of this part of Honduras.  Rainforest mountains rising out from the ocean.  A great place to watch the sunset from the many restaurants along the sea...

As we left the mountains of central Guatemala the temperature climbed and we knew we were heading back to wards the Atlantic coast.

Our first stop was the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Quirigua, an ancient Maya archaeological park, known for its intricately carved, bea...

From Lake Atitlan we headed first to Chichicastenango for market day and then on to Antigua, Guatemala's first capital city.

Chichi was a riot of colour, incense and a real assault of the senses, the noises, the smells, the crush...

Antigua by comparison was calm and ord...
